Dresden Files

Postby adamp9 » Fri Jul 30, 2010 11:10 am

Anyone else into the Dresden files? I have one of those embarrassing love things going on with it, I know its pulp but hmmm its tasty pulp. Just finished reading through the RPG books and they are well sexy. I'd be up for running a game but to be honest it'd be much more fun to play :D anyone fancy running it? I volunteer my gaff for it or I'll travel anywhere (except Joes dungeon I hear its crowded ;)

Funny I thought this had something to do with Dresden (the german place that got insanely bombed during the war). Seemingly not, in fact it looks like the kind of fiction that would spawn a tv show that would air for one series then die. I just checked, it is and it did :P

The show was hideous although to be fair (ahhhh I hate that phrase) there are loads of decent show's that were canned after one series, well ok maybe just Firefly but I stand by that and if we go on about canceled to soon, Family Guy. Like I said its pulp fantasy/kiddy noir but it's great. I'll bring the books up.

That's probably the most perfect analogy for Russell I've ever heard. :)

I have read the books (i own all of them) and would love to run or play a game in that world as I have a decent understanding of it from the books.

Anyway the dungeon is not full. There is still plenty of room in the iron maiden..

Is anyone up for a game? Im thinking of running on a Thursday at mine (Whitley Bay). The games a fudge based system so its quite crunch light and its fantastic fun. Theres a huge range of character class's both super natural and normal humans involved in gumshoe style detective action. Its 100% sparkley emo vampire free. If location or nights an issue we can post something out.

Using my executive powers as well me I reckon we're going to have to play this on a Wednesday night. Although if any other people want to play or want to experiance more indie rpgs and have a break from the traditional fantasy games drop mea pm or call me.
